I'm not, i've made them myself in 3ds max :P They'd look soooooo much better if I didn't need to make them 256 colours aswell - kinda ruins the detail of them.

I was intending on making the javellin one a multi target tbf :). Also rather than using this as a spear aura, I was gonna make like a spear throw - as it would be good for spear to have a long range aura :P

Don't need to make them 256 colours, can use 16bit (65536 colours). What problems did you have using 16 bit? (If you have tried it).

The converters usually crash when i don't have em in 256, although I could try it again.

Well i have noticed that the bmp file saved by photoshop does not convert, but works if open it in paint and re-save it there as 24bit bmp (maybe it is exporting as 32 bit not 24 bit), so could be the same problem.

I had tried it before and it didn't work, just tried it then and it still just crashes the converter :(

Nice work Slayerr. Very impressive to see brand new auras and graphics being made.

if u open up an exported BMP in photoshop it will mess with the format in which you see it, so simply open up in paint, and resave it. after that you can open it up in photshop in the correct format. Makesure u dont edit anything whislt in paint otherwise the colours will mess up for some daft reason.

When I save them in 256 I usually do it exactly like this:

Stitch files together in Photoshop > Turn into Indexed colours (256) > Export as 8 bit BMP > Open in Paint Save as 256 colours > Then in paint save as 24 bit BMP. And that process is what I use everytime and it works no fail.

When I do this with 16 bit instead I go: save out of photoshop in 16 bit BMP. Open in paint and save as 24 bit. What am doing wrong, or not doing when trying to save as a 16 bit file?

Do not save it as a 16Bit BMP from photoshop. But just save it normally (probably saves as either 32bit or 24bit) then open in paint and re-save it.

Edit: What version of photoshop are you using? Also are you using the Windows 7 paint? (Probably makes no difference but useful to know :P)
