What if you could browser the character database for your friends? See if there playing where they were last seen and what guild they belong to without actually logging ingame.

This has been my work for the past couple of days anywho let me know your suggestions on what should and should not be featured in the armory.

FAQ:

What are the images next to the character name?
It's simple really the images shown reflect the characters race and gender

Which characters are shown first
The characters are ordered by status thus the more active users will be searched first

i like but what would the profile pages actually say if you click on some1s name if its there lvl and stats ect i dont think it will go down well i personally dont mind people knowing my stats but i believe over people like to keep them secret

    Recent status
    map on ( if people say its easier for pkers, it makes sense as in a theoretical RP sense, a player would be spotted by scouts).
    maybe room for a self written profile description

It'd be wrong to reveal stats but it'd be right to reveal people's crafting stats, I love self interest. :|

You could stick up the auras/crafting skills people have achieved if you want to go down path, rather than the exact skill.

Hmm I suppose when I view a profile I want to find out what sort of player they are
so I'm trying to think of ideas that convey a players style, whilst protecting the privacy of the player
I understand not all will be viable but I'll list them all anyway

  • How many times a player's message has been explicit (using the ingame filter)
  • Most amount of damage scored on a dummy
  • Total distance travelled
  • Total time grey
  • how chatty they are - I was thinking you could do a calculation based on how many words they use and how much time they've played. (this would be a big one for gauging how friendly someone is)
  • Average hit rate
  • Average evasion rate
  • Total healing done
  • Total time in parties
  • Money spent on haircuts
  • Average amount of money in bank
  • percentage of time spent in town

to expand on the idea (and make more work :P) you could have an achievement system in another tab for example:
  • Travelled to Valley of death
  • Killed a Pamoth
  • Killed 5 players of same level or higher
  • Discovered frozen angel

You get the idea there, make them appear when the player achieves the achievement in green and perhaps name them tf2 style so "killed 5 players of same level or higher" could be called the mercenary achievement for example with some sort of badge icon to make it more tangible, perhaps you could then link those badges to your forum signature to show it off


This post really is a mis match of ideas but I've got a hang over I might write it up properly some other time :P

goood idea but ithink if you did do that dont add level achivement as people like people not to what level they are maybe, one or level 100??
