VPN

Postby cappilio » Mon Jul 29, 2013 9:32 pm

So after several months of hearing crap from several governments about its public having its internet access monitored data being stored. website after websites being blocked anything the government deem unsuitable. im kind of thinking this sort of censorship is only going to get worse. in the UK at least.

So yesterday i took the plunge took a years access out from ; https://www.privateinternetaccess.com/

it also has the added bonus of circumventing my ISP bandwidth restrictions.

Anyone else use these services? i used tor alot but the speeds really put me off. hence why iv gone for the paid for VPN. i manage to utilize my full bandwidth connection which is great.

problem however seems somadev won't let me post. think im a spammer... not sure if the network is used alot for spam but i hope not because i might run into these blacklists alot and will need to get my money back.

p.s. any admin feel free to unblock the IP address which is form a range of their london node. (i tried to pm but for some reason the message s just get stuck in the outbox)

So it turns out it was only one IP Address out of the range that was showing as blacklisted (on here at least). After i disconnected the VPN and reconnected to the same gateway got a different IP from the range all was well.

I would be interested to see how many of the IP's are blacklisted but i have only been using now for around a week and only ran into the problem once. I also used a few of the US based gateways, speed was almost just as good didn't really see any difference. Was great having my Netflix update with all the US titles.

Limited to 5 Devices with the service but that is enough for me. 2 phones 2 computers and my tablet.
