Shinra's Soma server

This is going to be up to test several things.. as well as trying to find bugs with the source client.

Recent Changes:

New map/town (Anzan) can teleport there via tyt seorin.
Automated ingame seasonal events, check information board in anzan for more info.
(seasonal event handlers are directly north south east and west of the map, also kuru for single day events).
Ark demons story line and bosses.
Lottery pop bosses (currently 50% chance) from brics, white tigers, and scorpions in anzan map.
Roll call guild boards, for more information visit the boards in anzan.
Several new login screens have been added.
New dlg interface for select info.
Remix's pos gain on pk.
(alot of fixes for doups and such from finito's scripts)

Old features:
Skill cap removed
Level cap removed
No dsoma
Royal rumble event
Easter event (still active)
Guild homes
Partially working attackable village

Known issues:
treasure box system might be botched
you randomly get stuck after killing a monster (client source problem always keep g-bird feathers with you)
options and help button are botched (use ctrl + O for option and ctrl + H for help )
the site forums and some links are not functional, it will be fixed soon.
monster levels are not displayed.
monster hps are not displayed untill you attack them.
map tiles are sometimes rendered incorrectly.
when npcs die there's a sill image of them left over.

Edit: I forgot to mention, old accounts still work... and I still have 2 other concepts planned so after all testing is finished there will be a wipe, also looking for suggestions on.. rewards.

Here's a map of anzan and spawns most of the listed is accurate some of them are different, the type/level of monsters are subject to change.

Cant get it to work... keep gettin the message "This application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see the application event log for more details" Prob doing something really nooby but if u could shed some light

You should install the vc++ runtime libs, as far as I know that's the only dependency.

Can do it two says both -should- work:

patcher way: install vc++ runtime libs (link providedin op) then download the patcher place updater.exe and unrar.dll in your soma folder then run updater.exe

if for any reason (permissions or other unrar problems) go with the second way which is:

install vc++ runtime libs download the manual patch, and replace everything in your soma folder with the stuff inside the rar.

(this version should use dx9 not that anyone else is still running dx7 but if you have dx10/dx11 and never installed dx9.0c you will need to install that as well)
